And have a look at politicalcompass.org - it's a six-part quiz designed by some academics that gives you some esoteric measurement of where you sit on the political scale. Mine came out as -7.00 (economic left) and -4.92 (libertarian), placing me somewhere near Nelson Mandela (none of which actually surprised me a great deal, but hey :)

Interesting reading list too... will have to take a peek at some of the stuff they recommend.
